During the manufacturing process, SilverGlo™ boards are infused with graphite powder to enhance their insulating properties. Each board is equipped with a reflective coating, serving as an efficient radiant barrier. A 2-inch-thick board carries a rating of R-9, or R-11, with an adjacent air space next to the radiant barrier. Thicker boards are also available for applications requiring higher R-values. Our technicians further enhance energy efficiency by creating an effective air barrier through the meticulous taping of seams between the boards.
